Well I am a newbie at packing a lunch for school. Thanks to Angelle and our work together on NourishMD, I feel it's really quite easy. HOWEVER, I did find myself thinking (on day 2 of packing a lunch) why is this MY job, as Dave is cleaning the dishes from dinner. Typical me! Kaitlin LOVES her pink Laptop Lunch bento box set, and carries it in her Pottery Barn lunch bag (she saw another girl in her class with the exact same one). I bought that lunch bag, with matching backpack, both monogrammed before pre-school ~ a little over zealous on my part. Thankful it's finally getting used!I realized last night, while filling those cute little pink containers with leftover dinner, that I am going to compartmentalize packing lunch. Compartmentalization works well for me, especially for those things I need to do, but wish I didn't. I actually learned about it from the physician acupuncturist I went to to conceive our first, Kaitlin. She reinforced what I already knew, take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed. Ugh. It's not a hard task, but I expressed to her my irritation that I had to do it. She replied "compartmentalize". I'll never forget that. Just do it, and then leave it there. Don't carry it around with you all day long, it's just what's needed to bring a gorgeous angel into this world. So I feel the same way with packing lunch...don't love it, but necessary to feed that angel the REAL food that supports and strengthens her internal army. Angelle, reading your blog post creates a flash forward to me. I realize someday, probably sooner than later Angelle would say, Kaitlin should participate in the lunch packing process. Yep. That's right! Update on getting the 3 Must-Have Supplements in daily: doing well on daily cod liver oil, vitamin D, and probiotics. Waiting for fresh bottle of VIBE to arrive. Thinking we might do that at dinnertime. The others we've been doing all with breakfast. So far so good. Nice to be back in a rhythm again. Blessings, Dr. Sue |
