You've tackled your child's diet and she's eating REAL food the majority of the time.  Why would she need a supplement?  Can't she get everything she needs from REAL food? We certainly wish that were true.  If your child is eating mainly REAL food, he is getting a ton of nutrients.  Way more nutrients than if he were eating all the fake foods filled with toxic ingredients.  So why does he need supplements too?  Unfortunately, even a diet full of REAL food can fall short of what our bodies need due to farming practices, soil quality and toxins in our environment.

This new evidence may eventually change the definition of vitamin D sufficiency or deficiency.[2]

The best laboratory indicator of adequate vitamin D is serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25-OH vitamin D) [1]. There is no universal consensus on the optimal 25(OH) -D level for health. Though most agree,

Life’s Like an Hourglass, Glued to the Table… Print E-mail
Written by Susan McCreadie, MD
During my morning workout listening to Pandora, Anna Nalick’s song Breathe came on – and her words “Life’s like an hourglass, glued to the table…” hit me for the very first time.  Isn’t it funny how you can hear something a thousand times and then something sticks and you can’t wipe it off?!?  It seems a bit doomsday to me – there’s no turning back in life, just moving forward – so get over it!  But my next thought was this: every time I make a change for the better, I turn that life hourglass over – a fresh start – renewed life!  Thank God!
